Henrico County Citizens Police Academy Pictures
It was my pleasure to be selected as one of the members of the
21st Citizens Police Academy for the county in which I live.
It was an intensive 12 week course and covered both classroom
instruction and field work at the police academy's training facility.
We participated in a mock traffic stop at night, a high speed
chase, shot weapons, saw demonstrations of the SWAT team in action, witnessed a
mock rescue, a bomb detonation, sniper fire and got to drive police cars through
obstacle courses. Quite an experience. One I'll never forget.
The same instructors that teach the regular police recruits
taught us.
I'm still a proud member of the Citizens Police Academy Alumni
Association.

I fire an MP5. Yikes. And I hit the target. |
